Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II: This A-10 is obviously not mothballed; it's part of a wing of A-10's stationed at Davis-Monthan Airbase which is adjacent to the boneyard. If you take the photographer's tour you pass through the airbase on an airforce-blue school bus on your way to AMARC. Not one of the prettiest planes it was nicknamed the "Warthog." This particular plane probably later fought in the Gulf War.
