The Conmar Zipper factory was located in the Ironbound section of Newark. On the roof was a 50 foot tall sign of the trademark of the company. Conmar, the Major Zipper. It could be seen by thousands of rail commuters on their way through Newark Pennsylvania Station. It towered over all the small homes in the neighborhood.
