Robert Wogan New York artist Robert Wogan's work, a series of light-based sculptures and installations that celebrate New York's industrial past. Once you drive by a lit ruin you'll never look at it the same way again. He currently has a video installation at the recentely reopened PS-1 Gallery in Long Island City, New York. And the 4th of July weekend he lit the smokestacks of the S.S. United States, sitting stripped in Philadelphia.

Castle Ruins Bruce Halliburton' s photos of castle ruins in Avesbury, Shropshire, Acton Brunel shot in infrared film. Not really "modern ruins," but striking none-the-less.
City Hall Station Saul Blumenthal's page includes photos of the abandoned City Hall subway station as well as the recently re-discovered Atlantic Avenue Tunnel, which was sealed up in the 1860's.

U-Boat Bunker Photographs of an old WWII ruins in Germany. I can't tell you more because the site is in German. Fortunately the photos are easy to view. I was there a few months ago and will be putting up some shots soon. Hopefully a 3D panorama you can view with downloadable viewer.
