Abandoned Rails
NY was once a center for rail transportation, but the Interstate Highway System pretty much put an end to that. Around NY and NJ you can see the remnants. See the last of the graffiti-covered subway cars before they were cut into pieces and sent off to be melted down. Or the abandoned West Side freight line running on elevated tracks through the middle of Manhattan streets.
